RUNNER-UP

Well Bobby didn't win the state championship, but he came in 2nd! Go PINK SOCK BOY!! (That's what Morgan calls him because he wears pink toe socks to wrestle in.) He lost Technical Fall 18-2. His opponent is a Senior from Poplar and he is extremely fast, good thing he graduates this year:)

Keep Your Fingers Crossed

Clint still has one wrestler alive in the state tournament in Billings. Bobby Ray has reached the championships at 135 pounds. Please keep your fingers crossed :)

Going to State Wrestling...

From this morning's Montana Standard:

Deer Lodge will take only four wrestlers to the state tourney, but they're a quality bunch, according to coach Clint Stevenson.Freshman 105-pound Chandler Yount was third, freshman 119-pound Dustin Morigeau took fourth, sophomore 135-pound Bobby Ray was second, and Jamin Bonato was third at 215 in his senior year."We're expecting to do well with what we've got," Stevenson said. "Dustin and Chandler are only freshmen, so we're happy to have them coming too."

** This is pretty exciting since half our team is either a Freshman or a Sophmores. We have had a lot of injuries and they all have been very sick the last few weeks. Only one more LONG week of wrestling to go for this year!!

And the Countdown Begins.....

We only have 30 more days before we move into our new house! Morgan is already on the lookout for abondoned boxes. She can't wait to start packing.

Senior Parent Night

We spend last night at the "Cottonwood Palace" a.k.a. the PCHS Gym enjoying Senior Parent Night for the Wrestlers. Things were going very well, we won our first dual against Superior by a very large margin. The cheerleaders then performed their light routine, which is always a fun time. Then to top it off, our Lukie Ray got another PIN! YEAH!! As you may remember, he got his first pin at the home tourny back in December. So now he thinks he is unstoppable. He told Morgan he only won because she had brought him a bottle of Powerade as a gift and it gave him the extra power he needed to win. Unfortunately, since Lukie is unable to go on overnight trips, he only has one more tournament tomorrow that he can go to. It would be really nice for him to get another win before he ends his wrestling career... keep your fingers crossed!

Sunday Afternoon Fun.

Taylor and Morgan decided to work on their "Crayola Fusion" projects. Basically they take a playdough material and mold it onto the white forms. Some of their projects turn out pretty cool. As you can tell, Morgan is a perfectionist and it will take her days to complete hers.
