Morgan the Photographer

Morgan decided that she really likes taking pictures. So, she got Clint's camera and had some fun. I think she did a pretty good job.

A Good Day for Fishing

Clint's parents came up for the long weekend and of course they had to do a little fishing.

Looking for a Tiger

I just spent three days in Big Sky, Montana at a family planning conference for work. For those of you not familiar with Big Sky, it is a resort town - a lot like Park City. It is amazingly beautiful this time of year. On the first night, a bunch of us got board so we went looking for a Tiger....Tiger Woods that is. He has a home there and belongs to the famous Millionaires Club AKA The Yellowstone Club. Well, we didn't find any Tigers, but we did find the gate to his house (supposedly) and a few other critters along the way. If you ever go to Bozeman or West Yellowstone it is worth the 45 minute drive to check out Big Sky Mountain Village.

A BIG one!

I was going through some pictures and I came across this one. I had never seen it before, so I thought that I would share. This is Clint's biggest fish caught on a fly rod, so far. Pretty impressive, huh.

It's Official!

At the school board meeting on Tuesday night they officially made Clint the Head Wrestling coach. Yeah!! I don't know who is more excited, Clint or Morgan. Sorry to all of those who wanted us to move closer but this just sealed the deal for us to stay.

You may kiss the bride...

Tommorrow, in Room 10, Mrs. Lee's Kindergarten class is throwing a wedding for the letters "Q" and "U". Morgan gets to be the one who conducts the ceremony. She has been practicing her part for the last week. She is a little concerned that the boy and girl who are playing the bride and groom are really going to kiss. From flower girls, ring bearers, to the bride and groom - every kid in the class gets to have a part in the wedding. They will be decorating in the morning and the ceremony will be after lunch. Everyone is to bring an empty present and dress up. Morgan volunteered us to bring the wedding cake. I got together with another mom and she is making the letter "Q" and as you can see, we made the letter "U". It should be a lot of fun! If I can sneak away from work, I will try to take pictures.

Congratulations Taylor!

Taylor hooked her first fish all by herself today. Clint always has to cast it for her and then Taylor reels in the line. Most of the time she just lets the line set in the middle of the river and her spinner just goes crazy. She always snags rocks, moss, and sticks and she thinks they are bites. Today she kept telling Clint "stuck daddy, help." So Clint checked her line, expecting to clean more moss of the hooks, and sure enough she had a fish. After a long battle, she finally got it reeled in. It looks like Morgan's new Rod is LUCKY!

Before I was a Mom.....

Before I was a Mom

I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.

I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.

I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom

I had never been puked on.

Pooped on.

Chewed on.

Peed on.

I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.

I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom

I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.

Or give shots.

I never looked into teary eyes and cried.

I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.

I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom

I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put him down.

I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.

I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.

I never knew that I could love someone so much.

I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom

I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.

I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.

I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.

I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom

I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.

I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.

I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

Busted!

Clint and Taylor disappeared this afternoon for a few hours....we found this evidence on the camera.
